Milana Parshina
Case Manager, Paralegal
Milana supports Hemrick O’Malley attorneys and assists with preparing cases and documentation for immigration matters. She assists with preparing asylum applications with USCIS and cases with the Immigration Courts, and conducts comprehensive research related to international human rights, political, humanitarian, religious, minorities, and legal matters. In addition, she translates legal documents from Russian to English and vice-versa, providing real-time interpretation during attorney-client meetings, phone consultations, and court hearing preparations.
Coming from a multicultural background, she understands how challenging immigration law can be and uses her expertise and interpersonal and communication skills to bring cases to conclusion in a timely manner.
Before joining Hemrick O’Malley, she served on the Permanent Delegation to the United Nations in New York for the International Road Transport Union. Previously, she was a paralegal and interpreter for several law firms in Washington, D.C. and New York City. In her native Russia, she worked with the Center of International Projects at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and at the Center of Creative Initiatives for Peace, NGO, Soviet Federation of Peace and Consent.
